The Office of Population Affairs (OPA) administers the Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) program to implement and evaluate teen pregnancy prevention programs. The TPP program is a national, competitive program that provides funding to replicate and scale evidence-based programs and develops and evaluates new and innovative approaches to prevent teen pregnancy, improve adolescent sexual health outcomes and promote positive youth development in communities across the United States.
From July 2023 to July 2026 (Fiscal Years 2023–2025), these grant recipients:
- Supported replication of evidence-based teen pregnancy prevention programs in communities with the greatest need.
- Increased capacity in communities to serve vulnerable youth, including homeless youth, parenting youth and those in juvenile detention and foster care.
- Filled gaps in the knowledge of what works to prevent teen pregnancy.
- Tested new, innovative approaches to combating teen pregnancy.
